How many times should you change an infants diapers?

my name is Naveena and i am doing an assignment on taking care of a infant for parenting and i was wondering how many times a day are you suppose to do diaper changes. How many times should you change an infants diapers?
It all depends on the babies age.

You will find that you change newborns nappies alot more than an older baby.

I used to change my newborns about 10 times a day on average and maybe twice during the night.

Now she is older (11 months), i change her about 5 times a day an average and she doesnt need a nappy change during the night anymore (unless she does a poo, which is not very often during the night)How many times should you change an infants diapers?
Naveena-

The correct answer is %26quot;whenever its wet/soiled%26quot;. For a newborn, that can mean up to 12 times in a day. Current stats in my own life: Goddaughter 1 (three weeks old) average is 9 changes. Godsons 2 and 3 (6 month old twins), each is changed about 8 times a day unless the 'poop monster' strikes. Nephew (15 months old) 6 diapers in a day is normal.

About 5-8 depending on how many times the child pees or poops. Usually if they pee one time you don't need to change it immediately. Just make sure they aren't in a wet diaper very long cause it can cause a rash. How many times should you change an infants diapers?
I am a mother of four, and an infant toddler teacher. At the daycare I last worked at for many years we used to check the babies every hour to see if they needed a change. The law says that they need to be changed every two hours. That would be atleast twelve changes a day.How many times should you change an infants diapers?
There's no set amount. You change them when they are wet which can be anywhere from 8-12 diapers a day and even more sometimes. How many times should you change an infants diapers?

it can vary from baby to baby on a rule when it needs it, after every feed, and it depends on the age of the child, the younger the child the more you will need to change it so it can from 12 times in a 24 hour period to 4 - 6 times in 8 hour period. How many times should you change an infants diapers?

I change my baby every time I feed him. This is every 3-4 hours during the day and 1-2 times at night. Of course if he poops I will change him right away.
