Some disagree with me but I believe that EVERY time the baby wets it needs a new diaper. Some say that the diapers are made to absorb the moisture and keep the skin dry, BULL STUFF.... I have had 5 kids and one was very sensitive to urine and would develop a rash in a very short time after she wet. I had to check her every time I thought about it (on the half hour or so) I also found that they are more easily potty trained, I think because they never have to suffer with urine against their skin and find it disgusting when they are older and will gladly use the potty to keep it off their skin. How many times a day does a baby need his diaper changed.?

As often as it wets/soils the diaper! In the beginning, that's usually at least once every 2 hours, or 12 times a day. Toward the end of the first year, it's more like 6 - 8 diapers per day.How many times a day does a baby need his diaper changed.?

A baby needs to be changed as often as it dirties it's diaper. Newborns, especially newborns who are breastfed, can poo as many as 10-15 times a day. As they get older, the frequency decreases. Toddlers and older babies may poo once or twice a day but you should still change their diapers every 2-3 hours (in the daytime). On average, I would say a toddler goes through 6-8 diapers a day.
