Get a second opinion.

My son had a bad rash and it turned out to be a strep infection and required antibiotics. How long does it take for diaper rash to clear? Its 麓been 3 weeks and we have been to the dr. 3 times.?
Cornstarch is what I recommend, bottom butter seems to work well too. You can try a bath with baking soda. Change diapers more often. Is the child teething? If so you might just have to wait it out. It seems like when they are teething their urine is stronger and irritates their skin. Best of luck. How long does it take for diaper rash to clear? You need to find a new doc, if everything that he has tried is not working then he isn't covering everything. My daughter had a rash for a long time and it was thrush. My nephew had also had a rash for a long time and it was strep, weird I know but it was a strep that effects only babies. Talk to someone new.How long does it take for diaper rash to clear? Ok, did you try just a warm water bath with very mild soap? This might sound wierd, but when my son was a baby he would get diaper rash so bad that it would bleed. I like you tried almost anything until a friend suggested using what woman use for yeast infections. I am not kidding, it actually worked. I used it for less than 3 days and it started clearing up. I also tried to change him as much soon as possible after he wet or messed himself. I hope this helps. How long does it take for diaper rash to clear? I would suggest not bathing more than once a day, if not every other day. Water can make a diper rash worse. Make sure your baby's bottom is dry before applying anything. Stick with the zinc oxide type like Desitin. Change the diaper at least every 2 hours or more as needed. Clean completely after every change, make sure the area is dry, and reapply the diaper cream. If it still isn't looking better in a couple of days go to another doc. Is your child teething or has anything else changed. You said you changed formulas and diet. If the baby is teething and drooling more it can cause %26quot;teething stool.%26quot; Most doctors will tell you there is no such thing, but I have done child care for 8 years and it does exsist. If your baby is drooling more and swallowing a lot of saliva it can come out in the poop. Saliva is designed to start to break the break down of food. It does the same thing to a baby's bottom. You have to keep the area very dry and well protected. Good luck. How long does it take for diaper rash to clear? Its 麓been 3 weeks and we have been to the dr. 3 times.?
My daughter had a diaper rash that lasted that long because I had changed the brand of wipes %26amp; they were scented. I thought it would never go away. Just keep putting fanny cream on it everytime you change a diaper. How long does it take for diaper rash to clear? Its 麓been 3 weeks and we have been to the dr. 3 times.?
I've been through all of that, and cloth diapers saved my daughter's rear! Leave the waterproof part off when at home. I wash them with vinegar in the rinse and I line dry when I can to kill yeast or bacteria. I would stop using wipes and use a homemade version. I like a squirt bottle filled with water and a few drops of tea tree oil or lavender oil (smells great). Squirt this onto a washcloth or soft paper towel) and wipe as usual. My sister hates cloth diapers (because I like them *smile and roll eyes*), but she puts her rashy little guy in those thick Gerber underwear (not the ones with vinyl). Then you know when baby is wet and you can change right away. The best cure is sunlight, if you can manage that where you live! Good luck! How long does it take for diaper rash to clear? I actually got this advice on Yahoo Answers and it worked great! It turned out that it was the wipes that were aggravating the diaper rash and just making it worse. Before I used a wipe, I rinsed it out with warm water and them used it. Then I let my son's bottom dry and applied Desitin each time. It cleared up in 2 days. It's the alcohol in the wipes that irritates the diaper rash. Anyways, give it a try. Hope this works. How long does it take for diaper rash to clear? Yes diaper rashes suck and sometimes what the doctor says sucks to... have your baby or child drink lots of water. My infant got a diaper rash after she left the hospital and through everything i did i noticed it was my breast milk and not the formula so i decided to give her plenty of water throughout the day and within two days it was gone and to keep it that way i tend to give her plenty of water and i still use the same formula and i still breast feed and she is fine now. So just try and give your child some water and see if that works. Good LuckHow long does it take for diaper rash to clear? Its 麓been 3 weeks and we have been to the dr. 3 times.?
If your using baby wipes, even the unscented kind they will still sting and cause irritation.( Trust me I have cuts on my hands all the time.) You should use a soft wet paper towel,Viva is a good brand. I have always done this for both of my girls it works great. How long does it take for diaper rash to clear? Have you tried Boudreaxs Butt Paste?? It is amazing. It has a higher zinc oxide % than all the other ointments. It also has peruvian balsam which increases circulation to wound site, castor oil which is a protective covering and aids in reduction of pain, boric acid which treats antifungal activity and many other ingredients. When my daughter had a yeast infetcion and the nystantin wasnt clearing it fast enough, i put the butt paste over it. Had it cleared in a day. Its a little more expensive but well worth it.
