How do you change a BOY baby's diaper?

I've never changed a baby boy's diaper before. (I'm not planning on circumcising him) so the big question is am i suppose to pull his 'skin' back and wipe it with a baby wipe every time, or every OTHER diaper change or what? what other things should i know about changing a boy's diaper? be detailed, i've never done this before. thanks :)How do you change a BOY baby%26039;s diaper?
You're not supposed to pull back the foreskin.

A baby boy is born with his foreskin literally attached to his penis (kind of like a fingernail to your finger). This is completely normal and natural and it makes the penis self-cleaning. The foreskin should be allowed to naturally attract, and it's usually fully retractable around age eight or nine. (But if it's retractable a bit earlier or later, that's okay too.) At this age you can mention to your son that he can pull back his foreskin and rinse underneath it in the shower.

The typical %26quot;rule%26quot; is that the first person to retract the foreskin should be the boy himself.

To clean his penis, simply wipe the outside of it with a lukewarm damp cloth. Again, don't manipulate the foreskin in any way - forced retraction can cause infection and adhesions.

Make sure anyone else who's changing his diaper knows not to retract the foreskin. There's even a little rhyme to help you remember - only clean what is seen.

Other things - I've heard mothers of boys say to not point the penis up, and to put a baby wipe over it while you're changing him so you don't get peed on.

Congrats on your decision not to circumcise, and good luck with your little one. :)How do you change a BOY baby%26039;s diaper?
You don't pull the skin back at all. You wipe it like a finger. The foreskin will retract on its own when he gets older. Under no circumstances should you try to force it.

Other things to know? It isn't really much different than a girl diaper. Be sure to point his boy parts down before closing the diaper otherwise he may pee out of the top.

EDIT- please research this as I see you are already getting bad advice. Use google - any website will tell you not to pull the foreskin back!!!How do you change a BOY baby%26039;s diaper?
it's not hard. its like changing a baby girls diaper but instead all you do is cover his pee pee area so he don't get you wet if he happens to take a pee pee. all you do is wipe his pee pee area and wipe his hiney. and then apply butt paste on his hiney and his pee pee area. its not hard to change a baby boy.How do you change a BOY baby%26039;s diaper?
You NEVER pull back the foreskin! Talk to a paediatrician and they will confirm this. How do you change a BOY baby%26039;s diaper?
You NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER retract the foreskin of a young boy. That's the most important thing you have to remember.

When a baby boy is born his foreskin is attached to the head of the penis much like your fingernails are attached to your fingers. So pulling it back is going to be quite painful and horrible, plus as you would suspect it can cause infections and bleeding.

Just wipe the outside of the foreskin like a finger, no need to clean inside. Most boys are able to fully retract their foreskin by 8-10 years old. The only person that should pull back his skin is your son. He will know how far it can go back comfortably.

There is no other special thing about changing a boys diaper. Just wipe and keep it clean.

R U Serious?! Just use common sense. Boys dont have a vagina to protect poop from entering so just use plenty of wipes and clean him up good. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after you finish, and the baby's hands, too.How do you change a BOY baby%26039;s diaper?
don't pull anything back and just wipe all over then let him dry. don't forget to get under his little sac and let it dry so he doesn't get a rash. be quick or have something handy to cover him because he will pee and it always ends up on your shirt somehow! point his penis down if it's big enough then fasten him snugly. How do you change a BOY baby%26039;s diaper?
DO NOT PULL THE FORESKIN BACK!

(I put in it caps because it's important, I'm not shouting)

A babies foreskin is attached to the head of the penis somewhat like a fingernail.

At some point when he is older the foreskin will detach, he will most likely discover this for himself. When this does happen, then he will need to be told/taught to gently pull it back in the shower/bath and clean the head, this is very important, but easily done.

For now...just wipe/wash it like you would a finger!

Leave the foreskin well alone.

Also, make sure when you put his nappy on that you make sure his willy is pointing down, if it's up and he does a pee it will leak out the top of his nappy!

Thank you for not circumcising your son!

no you are not meant to pull the skin back when the boy is that young. When he is old enough to wash himself then you need to teach him to GENTLY pull the skin back as far as is comfortable and wash it. My son learnt to do it easy just like i did.

You should not force the skin back and your son should be the one who pulls the skin back so he will stop if it is uncomfortable.

Well done for not taking the choice away from your son. he will thank you later in life. I know I thank my parents.

some reasons why people say a male should be circumcised.

1-- its cleaner to be cut.,

i wash everyday and have no problem with smegma or smell. does that mean cut guys dont have to wash? Mine takes a whole 5 seconds to wash in the shower. Not really a big deal is it.

2-- It helps prevent HIV being spread.

While this %26quot;may%26quot; be true (i dont think it does) then why is the AIDS rate in the USA so high when the circ rate is still high for adult men but Europe is lower where the vast majority of men are uncut. the same goes for cervical cancer on their partners. Also what is wrong with wearing a condom? not only stops pregnancy but many other STD's as well.

3-- looks better to be cut.

So just because %26quot;some%26quot; people think it looks better does that mean everyone must be cut? If one person likes large breasts does that mean all women need a breast implant? Plus how can a large scar line around the shaft of your penis be attractive?

4-- stops the male getting phismosis.

So because %26quot;some%26quot; men %26quot;may%26quot; have this issue all men should be cut? doesnt make sense to me even more so when phismosis can be treated without circumcision. Plus we keep our tonsils and apendix when some people have problems with them.

5-- he may get picked on at school.

I never did when a lot of the other guys at school were cut. Why are other guys looking at my penis anyway? plus I never had a sexual partner say they didnt want to have sex with me because of my foreskin.

6-- So he looks like dad.

My step father was circumcised as was my step brother. I never had an issue that mine was different because I knew I was intact and they were not. My mother taught me why mine was not the same as them and I never had an issue with it.

7-- Its my choice as a parent.

Is it your right to remove a part of your child's body for any of the above reasons when it is not needed? why not let the boy make the choice as informed adult what he wants done to his body.

And its good to see that stevex is back with the same story as al other times. (now has the name of HBCaliDu). He has a link from a woman who doesnt like a penis with a foreskin, I wonder if she has ever seen one up close? Plus just because she doesnt like them does that mean all men should be cut just because SOME women dont like them? How do you change a BOY baby%26039;s diaper?
Yeah, if you aren't circumcising him, then yeah you need to pull it back to clean him good. And yeah do this EVERY time you change him. Oh with a boy cover him with a cloth diaper or something as you change him b/c he WILL pee in your face :-)
