Any advise on how i can get my 10 month boy to stay still during a diaper change??

Ive tried giving him toys to distract him, his bottle to occupy him, my cell phone to awe him... nothing works, he twists and turns around, and trys to go away from me bare bottom, screaming the whole way through... i dont want to hurt him by holding him down with force, but i have had to hold him down so he doesnt get poop EVERYWHERE... any advise?? All suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!Any advise on how i can get my 10 month boy to stay still during a diaper change??
Become an acrobat? LOL

BTDT...with my older 2 and doing it with my 11 month old.

My secret...the wipes box. He LOVES to pull the wipes out. Or I give him a clean diaper, and he talks to Elmo or whoever is on it. Or I have his older brothers distract him...with one of my older boys I used to give him a zwieback to chew on.

And there are times when nothing works and I just let him be on his belly and clean him that way.Any advise on how i can get my 10 month boy to stay still during a diaper change??
You should sing to him make silly sounds get him to pay attention to you. make funny faces. I think that is so cute when a baby try to do everything but the right thing. You can't do nothing but Love Them.Any advise on how i can get my 10 month boy to stay still during a diaper change??

I went through this and still am! If it is just a pee diaper I let my daughter stand up next to the coffee table and eat a cracker or something and change her that way, otherwise I literally have to use all my hands and legs to change a pooper!Any advise on how i can get my 10 month boy to stay still during a diaper change??
sing to him....it will soothe him and keep him still.Any advise on how i can get my 10 month boy to stay still during a diaper change??
My son does the same thing. If he fights me trying to get away with just a wet diaper, I'll let him stand up against something and just change him that way. As long as he is staying still, that's fine with me. For his poopy diapers I've learned to wait for a few minutes before changing him. Not long enough to give him a rash or anything, but long enough for him to understand that he isn't comfortable. This is just starting to work since he is just getting old enough to realize that he stinks, but it is starting to work. He'll hold still if he realizes that I am cleaning him up.

Another idea could be to try to have your baby's diaper changes 'scheduled' around his not so active times. There have been times when my son is just to busy playing and wanting to crawl around that I just let him keep playing in his really wet diaper. After he has had his play time, he usually doesn't try to get away as much because he is worn out.

Have you considered that having him backside up on his hands and knees actually makes him easier to clean, and less likely to get a mess everywhere?
